Deleting Dad is a small, community-led project run by one father with many years’ experience of parental alienation. We collect the absolute minimum personal data needed to run the anthology and website, and we take your privacy extremely seriously.

What personal data we collect and why

Story submissions: If you share a story with us, we collect your name and email address. We use this only to communicate with you about your submission, confirm acceptance, and arrange postage of your free contributor copy. Stories are published 100 % anonymously.

Mailing list sign-ups: We collect only your email address to send occasional updates about the project (you can unsubscribe at any time with one click).

Website contact form (if you add one later): Name and email to reply to your message.

Cookies & analytics: This site uses minimal essential cookies for basic functionality. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking.

We do not collect postal addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or any data about your children or ex-partner unless you voluntarily provide it in a submission (and even then, we remove identifying details before publication).

How we store and protect your data

Your details are stored securely in password-protected email and private files. We never share or sell your data to anyone — ever. Only the project founder (one person) has access.

How long we keep your data

Submission data: kept until the anthology is complete or you ask us to delete it. – Mailing list: kept until you unsubscribe. – You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to: – Access the data we hold about you – Correct any inaccuracies – Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”) – Withdraw consent at any time
