About Deleting Dad

Deleting Dad is a community-led project shining a light on parental alienation in the UK — the emotional harm that erases one parent from a child’s life after separation.

Started by one father with many years’ experience of parental alienation, this project exists to give fathers a voice and help break the silence that surrounds the issue.

Our purpose:

  • Give alienated fathers a safe, anonymous platform to share their stories
  • Raise awareness of parental alienation and its impact on children and families
  • Encourage fairer recognition of both parents in family courts and support services
  • Offer solidarity and hope to anyone experiencing this

The anthology

We are collecting real stories for a book titled Deleting Dad. Every contribution will be published under a simple pseudonym with any identifying details removed — complete anonymity.

Selected contributors will receive a free copy of the published book.

The project centres on alienated fathers, but parental alienation harms entire families.

We welcome anonymous contributions from:

  • Alienated fathers (the primary focus)
  • Their adult children (18+ only) who lived through it
  • Their wider family, particularly grandparents denied contact with grandchildren

These perspectives together reveal the true intergenerational trauma of parental alienation.
